In 2012 the two-year initiative led by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs, implemented in partnership with UNICEF and with the financial support of the EU was launched. It aims at creating an effective state-led mechanism for children who live and/or work on the streets. The initiative establishes services and mechanisms that identifies children living and working on the streets, offers them immediate support and protection and works with them and their families with the ultimate goal of integrating them into existing child protection services. The initiative has been rolled out in Tbilisi during 2013-2014 and the activities will move to Kutaisi later the year.

The project also envisages raising public awareness about the main directions of the new protection mechanism as well as about the problems of children living and working on the streets. The awareness plan also includes production of various video products. Ethical norms and standards for protecting identities and privacy of vulnerable children should be observed during the production process.

UNICEF Tbilisi requests proposals to select a company for video production on the achievements of the project on children living and working on the streets.
